F2: James Wharton will race for Trident in Qatar
James Worton will make his Formula 2 debut at the Qatar round with the Trident team. This year the Australian completed his first season in Formula 3, finishing 18th and taking one victory.
James Worton: "I am incredibly grateful to Trident Motorsport for the opportunity to compete in Formula 2. It is a huge step in my career. A new challenge awaits me — a more powerful car, longer races, greater tyre wear and pit stops. I have a lot to learn, and I will do my best to make the most of this opportunity.
Although I will not be racing in Formula 2 next year, it is a great chance to learn something new and achieve a good result."
