Mick Schumacher officially announced his plans for 2026.
Mick Schumacher today announced his plans for next season. As expected, he will spend it in the IndyCar series, where he will also race on ovals, in particular taking part in the Indy 500, with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
Mick Schumacher: "I'm pleased to confirm that next year I will compete in IndyCar with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, participating in the full season.
Having raced in Formula 1 and in endurance events, and having competed in various racing series over many years, I have the knowledge and experience that, I am sure, will contribute to a great partnership. The team has already prepared me very well during testing, and I'm confident that together we can achieve a lot.
I was immediately excited by the car and the American approach to motorsport, which, I think, is more focused on pure racing, and it is that aspect I really like. And, of course, I'm interested in new experiences — I'm always keen to broaden my horizons. For me, a new journey begins here, and I look forward to the start of the season."
