There’s no denying that Maserati has faced some challenges recently. In fact, "recently" might be an understatement. However, regardless of what the company’s higher-ups have planned, there are still vehicles to offer, and Maserati is actively working on updates for its Gran Turismo and Gran Cabrio two-door models right now.

The current Gran Turismo and Gran Cabrio are relatively new, having been introduced only a few years ago, which is quite young by Maserati’s long history. It’s encouraging to see that updated versions are already being tested in real-world conditions. These prototypes were spotted undergoing cold-weather trials in Sweden.

Our spy photographer has confirmed that these models are a Maserati Gran Cabrio Folgore and a Gran Turismo Trofeo, based on their distinct exterior features. Both vehicles exhibit minimal camouflage, indicating that the upcoming updates will likely involve just small changes.

The Gran Turismo Trofeo seems to sport a new bumper with larger, square-shaped air intakes. The same observation applies to the Gran Cabrio, but this Folgore variant also features a hidden rear splitter. It appears there are no major aerodynamic elements included, suggesting only slight modifications are expected in this area.

Our sources inform us that the refreshed Maserati Gran Turismo and Gran Cabrio should debut sometime in 2027.
