Arvid Lindblad: I also hadn't raced in Suzuka before.

After an impressive debut in Australia, the weekend in China turned out to be unsuccessful for Arvid Lindblad from Racing Bulls, but he is looking forward to continuing in Suzuka…

Arvid Lindblad: “There are things I could have done better, some were out of my control, but overall the Chinese weekend was one of the toughest in my career.

I’m a rookie, this was my second race, a sprint weekend on a track where I hadn’t raced before. In the only practice session, I only managed a couple of laps before the car broke down – and after that, the whole weekend was a step behind, but in the end, I was able to improve. I’m satisfied with how I performed in the race.

I haven’t raced in Suzuka before either. As a child, I watched recordings from this track on TV, dreaming that one day I would be able to drive here myself. European youth series don’t come here, so I’ll be trying it out straight from the Formula 1 car – it’s great that I have this opportunity.”
