Oliver Berman (9th): “A good day. The speed difference is very small, the battle in the midfield is very tight, and in the evening we will try to find solutions that will allow us to improve our speed tomorrow.
Last year in Suzuka, it was very difficult to overtake; it was one of the races with the fewest overtakes. With the new rules, the number of overtakes will surely increase, but qualifying will still remain the main priority.”
Esteban Ocon (11th): “Overall, a positive day. We started the weekend well, fully completing the program in both the first and second practice sessions. We have reserves for further progress, so I look forward to seeing what we are capable of. It is still pure pleasure to drive a Formula 1 car in Suzuka.”
