FIA has extended the duration of the practice session in Miami.
The FIA announced an increase in the practice time for the Miami Grand Prix. The only free practice session at the American track will last 90 minutes instead of the standard 60.
"After consultations with all stakeholders, it was decided to extend the first free practice session for the Miami Grand Prix to 90 minutes," the FIA statement said. "As a result, the session will take place from 12:00 to 13:30 local time. All other track sessions scheduled before practice have been moved 30 minutes earlier.
The decision was made considering the break since the last Grand Prix, the recently announced changes to the technical regulations, and the fact that the Miami Grand Prix is held in a sprint format, which reduces the overall practice time during the race weekend."
