Before the Miami Grand Prix, the Alpine team shares fourth/fifth place in the Constructors' Championship with Red Bull Racing and looks forward to the start of the weekend with optimism...

Pierre Gasly: "I missed racing and I'm very happy to be back on track this weekend. It feels like the Japanese Grand Prix was a long time ago, and I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and continuing the fight. I hope we will be just as competitive in Miami as we were in Suzuka.

It was nice to take a break and spend time in one place, without the stress of constant travel, to see family and friends – usually the calendar is so packed that we rarely have such an opportunity during the season. Additionally, I managed to go to Paris for a Champions League match and visited Liverpool for the first time, at the legendary Anfield stadium, but now I'm fully focused on racing again.

It will be interesting to see the competitors' updates. Of course, we would like to continue from where we left off at the weekend in Japan – fighting for a place in the qualifying final and points in the race. I know the team in Enstone has been working hard to improve the car, and I really want to get back behind the wheel of the A526.

We have a weekend with a Saturday sprint ahead of us – it's important to make the most of the practice session and then perform perfectly in each subsequent session. Our goal is to earn points!"

Franco Colapinto: "The break after Suzuka was long, but now we have a race weekend at the unique track in Miami. In these few weeks, we worked a lot on the simulator, had a productive filming day in Silverstone with the A526, and an amazing show in Buenos Aires! I'm still impressed that I drove a Formula 1 car at home. The support from the fans was incredible, and I'm happy to give them those emotions.

The Friday practice this time will be longer than usual, which will allow us to better understand the car's behavior on track at the very beginning of the weekend. I haven't raced in Miami before, so this practice is especially important for me – I need to study the configuration well before the sprint qualifying.

I'm looking forward to getting back to racing and the new challenge! The goal remains the same – to do everything possible and resume the season with another top ten finish."

Steve Nielsen, Managing Director: "A month between races is unusually long for Formula 1, but we continued to work. The last few weeks have been quite intense for the team – we were preparing for the continuation of the season in Miami.

We started the season in decent shape, earning points at every stage – that will be the goal in Miami as well. We know that our competitors have prepared updates – it will be interesting to see how this affects the competitive order. Rest assured, we also took the time to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the car, accelerated the refinement of several components for the Miami stage to stay in the fight for points.

Our drivers spent some time at the base preparing for the race, and Franco put on a show in Buenos Aires, where he performed impressively in one of our old cars. I'm sure this charged him with energy and added motivation.

Pierre also prepared seriously; he is looking forward to the continuation of the season and the opportunity to continue the streak of races in which he earned points.

On Friday, we will get an additional half hour in the only practice session before the weekend with the Saturday sprint begins. We are ready for it and hope to show everything we are capable of."
