Laurent Mekis: A new season start awaits us.
At Red Bull Racing, they hope to close the gap to the top teams at the upcoming event in Miami...
Laurent Mekies, team principal: "Everyone at Red Bull Racing is looking forward to returning to racing after the forced break. The last few weeks have been beneficial for the teams, the FIA, and Formula 1: the teams have been able to refine these completely new cars, and together, the championship participants have clarified the regulations based on the experience from the first three Grands Prix.
In fact, Miami will mark a new start to the season after this unexpected and long break. During this time, all the staff in Milton Keynes have been working hard on the chassis and power unit, including the involvement of Max and Isaac. We do not expect all our problems to be solved at once, but we aim to provide Max and Isaac with a more competitive car. The Miami event will show how well we have worked and how much more we still have to do.
The Miami Grand Prix is the first of three American races this year, which is an important moment for us, as this weekend Red Bull Ford Powertrains will debut in North America."
Max Verstappen: "There was quite a long break between the races in Suzuka and Miami, but in reality, it wasn't a break – the team has been working hard all this time trying to understand what we can improve on the car.
I am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in Miami; I hope we can get a little closer to the three leading teams."
