F1 acknowledges that the deadline is approaching for the races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

Stefano Domenicali has acknowledged that Formula 1 is facing an important decision deadline regarding its remaining Middle East races later this season. The series is just starting to recover from a five-week hiatus caused by the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia races due to the ongoing conflict in Iran.

"We had to cancel the initial two races in Bahrain and Jeddah," Domenicali told CNBC. "However, we now need to be patient as we still have two races scheduled for the end of the year, specifically in Qatar and Abu Dhabi."

"As you can imagine, we have to wait and observe the developments." He indicated that a decision point is approaching.

"We have a deadline by which we need to determine if the circumstances will permit us to move forward," Domenicali stated. "We remain hopeful, considering the broader context."

"Nevertheless, it is our responsibility as a global sport to prepare an alternative plan, which we have in place."
