Gabriel Bortoleto disqualified
The stewards of the Miami Grand Prix disqualified Audi driver Gabriel Bortoleto from the sprint results due to the car's non-compliance with technical regulations. The technical inspection after the sprint finish revealed that the air pressure at the engine intake exceeded the maximum allowable limit of 4.8 bar. The team acknowledged the violation and explained to the stewards as a mitigating circumstance that as soon as they saw the telemetry showing the exceedance of permissible values, they did everything to reduce the pressure. The stewards accepted the explanation but noted that the regulations state that the car must "always" comply with the requirements, which the team failed to ensure. As a penalty, the standard sanctions for such a violation were applied – disqualification.
