      Toto Wolff: “The first lap in the final was really special. He was ahead of the nearest competitor by more than three-tenths. Just amazing. That’s what secured him the pole.

      On the second lap, it was Kimi, just as he is! He felt confident – and overdid it. But that’s him. This is already progress; before, he would have crashed into the wall. Now it’s just a lost lap, but he’s showing his speed, and it’s very nice to see.

      George told me that he has difficulties on some tracks. The asphalt here is very smooth. It’s almost like tennis players: some play well on clay, while others do on hard courts. In qualifying, he was able to improve; he was just a little short of third place, and I’m glad to see his progress on a track where he doesn’t feel 100% comfortable.”
