Charles Leclerc: The blame for the mistake lies entirely with me.

For most of the race in Miami, Charles Leclerc fought for a podium spot, but on the last lap, he spun the car, hit the wall, and damaged the vehicle. The Ferrari driver managed to finish sixth but repeatedly went off track on the final lap, attracting the attention of the stewards.

Lewis Hamilton damaged his car on the first lap while battling with Franco Colapinto and finished seventh.

Charles Leclerc (6th): "The blame is entirely on me – I have nothing more to add. I am very disappointed with my mistake, which should not have happened. I was actively attacking on the penultimate lap and decided it would be a good idea to let Oscar Piastri pass me, so I could then overtake him on the last lap, as I knew it would be very difficult to keep him behind.

However, that was a very bad decision, and in the fourth corner, I ruined a strong race. I am very disappointed, and I have nothing more to say.

I don’t know what decision the stewards will make. I can only say that I tried my best to stay within the track limits in the corners. It was probably much harder to do than it seemed from the outside, but what’s done is done."

Lewis Hamilton (7th): "A disappointing weekend. Seventh place is seventh place. In both the sprint and the race, I found myself in a dead-end situation, especially today – with a damaged car, I couldn’t do anything. It’s a shame because the team worked hard to get at least some points. We need to move on.

The incident on the first lap? I was in a good position on the track, but then I had to move to the right. As a result, I lost my position, and Franco gained."
