Charles Leclerc received a 20-second penalty.
The stewards of the Miami Grand Prix penalized Charles Leclerc for repeatedly going off track during the final lap of the race. In a meeting with the stewards, the Ferrari driver reported that after spinning out in the third corner of the final lap, he crashed into the wall. After the impact, the car appeared intact but could not turn right, which forced him to cut the right corners. The stewards deemed that these shortcuts gave Charles an advantage and penalized the Ferrari driver with a drive-through penalty. However, since Leclerc could not serve the penalty during the race, it was replaced with a 20-second addition to his final time. After the penalty was applied, Charles Leclerc dropped from sixth to eighth place in the Miami Grand Prix finishing protocol. Lewis Hamilton moved up to sixth place, and Franco Colapinto to seventh, marking his best career result.
