Juncadella claims the FIA is applying a 'double standard' in relation to Hamilton.

"Dani Juncadella believes Lewis Hamilton should have faced consequences for giving Franco Colapinto the middle finger during the Miami GP. The 35-year-old Spaniard, who is an Aston Martin simulator driver and a close associate of Max Verstappen, criticized the FIA for its inconsistency following the lack of punishment for Hamilton’s gesture in the cockpit.

“The FIA’s double standard is always evident,” Juncadella expressed on X. “Fine him 2,000 euros just like they did to me.” He referenced his own sanction from last November’s Bahrain WEC event, where he was penalized for making an obscene gesture during a GT3 race, an incident that garnered criticism considering the FIA’s wider efforts to address driver behavior and inappropriate language.

The issue is particularly sensitive for Verstappen, who faced significant penalties from the FIA for swearing. Meanwhile, Juncadella is set to share a car with Verstappen at the Nurburgring 24 Hours next weekend, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3. The team will also feature Jules Gounon, son of former Formula 1 driver Jean-Marc Gounon, and Lucas Auer, the nephew of Ferrari legend Gerhard Berger."
