Steiner: The stewards need to set a time limit.

Former Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner calls for a limit on the time stewards have to make decisions after the race finishes, so that confirming results does not take several hours.

Guenther Steiner: "I think this: if a decision has to be made after the race, there should be a time limit, and if you don't know what to do, just don't penalize.

Why does the decision have to be postponed? What are they doing during the race? I think the stewards are not there to watch the race. They should be working and making decisions if something goes wrong. The stewards' job is to analyze the incident, assess the situation, figure out what happened, sort it out, make a decision, and move on, not just watch the race. Watching the race should not be part of their duties.

What can be discussed from a legal standpoint when a driver crosses the white line? They either crossed it or they didn't. There are cameras, and teams have the opportunity to protest. But you either crossed the white line or you didn't. This is not the case with Gasly and Lawson. It either happened or it didn't. During, after, three days later – the picture is the same."
