Gasly tests rain tires in Magny-Cours
Pirelli engineers continue testing tire prototypes for the next season. This week they are working with wet and intermediate tires at the French track of Magny-Cours, which has an artificial watering system, along with the Alpine team, which provided the car and driver.
Yesterday, on the first day of testing, the tire specialists checked several compound options for heavy rain. After several laps on slicks, necessary for car setup, the French track was artificially wet. Pierre Gasly completed 101 laps or 446 kilometers with a best time of 1:37.816.
Today, testing will continue using intermediate tires.
