Verstappen will miss the parade at the Nürburgring.
Today in the German town of Adenau, a parade of participants in the "24 Hours of Nürburgring" marathon will take place as part of the opening ceremony. However, the Verstappen Racing team and its drivers Max Verstappen, Lukas Auer, Jules Gounon, and Daniel Huncadel will not participate in the parade. It turned out that this was not the team's wish, but a decision made by the organizers due to the high popularity of the four-time world champion. According to the organizers, if Max participated in the parade, a huge number of fans would gather in Adenau, which poses safety risks. For the same reason, Verstappen will not take part in the autograph session after the marathon finish. The organizers emphasized that this is not related to the Formula 1 driver's unwillingness to interact with the public, but a conscious decision to ensure safety.
