"24 Hours of Nürburgring" has started

      The long-awaited 24-hour race on the "Nordschleife" of the Nürburgring has finally started, and Max Verstappen's crew has already moved into second place on the first lap. The Mercedes in Red Bull colors, with the number 3, is being driven by Daniel Hunkadella at the beginning of the race, and he was fortunate right from the start – he calmly gained a couple of positions due to the difficulties faced by his competitors.

      Christopher Haase's Audi R8 LMS GT3 spun out during the warm-up lap, causing the Scherer Motorsport driver to immediately lose several positions, while the Lamborghini of the Red Bull Team Abt, driven by Mirko Bortolotti, had to pit after the first lap to replace a punctured tire. The puncture resulted from a slight contact with Hunkadella's car.

      Overtaking began almost immediately, and all of this promises a more than thrilling further development of events. For example, the crew of the Lamborghini from the Austrian team Konrad Motorsport climbed to third place on the second lap.

      Hunkadella has nearly caught up with the leader's car, but the entire leading group is already having to deal with traffic and overtake slower cars, and in one episode, the Spanish driver made a small mistake that was exploited by two competitors, causing the Mercedes of the Verstappen Racing team to drop to 4th place. However, this is just the beginning…

      The first pit stops are expected after five to seven laps, and this will inevitably affect the balance of power at this stage of the race.
