Cadillac announced technical innovations for Canada.
At the last stage in Miami, Cadillac presented the first major update of the car for the season. Ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, the team shared what new features will be introduced on the MAC-26 this weekend.
For the Montreal stage, Cadillac has prepared new front brake ducts, a number of diffuser elements, including additional "wings," and front suspension torsions.
Graham Loudon, team principal: "The team performed well in Miami. We introduced our first major update package, which led to a noticeable improvement in the car's behavior on the track. Both cars finished the sprint and the main race, which can be considered an excellent result.
The team also executed two pit stops that were among the top ten fastest of the weekend. This shows that from an operational standpoint, we are on an upward trajectory.
The track in Montreal is very different from the one in Miami, but the goal is to build on our success and continue moving forward."
Sergio Perez: "I really enjoyed the weekend in Miami. We improved our pace from the very beginning and showed that we can bring serious updates that deliver results on the track. This is really encouraging.
Now we need to keep working on what we have to unlock the potential of all the elements. We saw clear glimpses of real progress, and now we just need to put all the pieces together. If we can do that, we will be closer to the midfield teams. I can't wait to get back on track."
Valtteri Bottas: "The race in Miami didn't go exactly as planned, but we clearly made a step forward and demonstrated good potential, which is positive.
This weekend presents new challenges on a very technical track where the walls are quite close, and we need to gain speed quickly since the weekend is in a sprint format.
I like the track in Montreal, and I have performed well there in the past. I enjoy seeing my name in the 'Fastest Lap Holder' column! I'm looking forward to continuing our progress."
