Max Verstappen finished third in Canada and climbed onto the podium for the first time this season. After the race, the four-time world champion was smiling broadly and seemed like a person who had already changed his mind about leaving Formula 1.

Max's Red Bull Racing teammate Isaac Hajar had a tough race, received several penalties, and finished fifth – this is also his best result of the season.

Max Verstappen (3rd): "Today I had some great battles. It's always better when you're fighting at the front. I made it to the podium for the first time this year, and it's a very positive result for the team. I'm very happy, and I enjoyed the great fight with Lewis closer to the finish.

We need to keep working with the same commitment. It's not always easy to get everything right during the weekend, so the podium is really a great result for us, so it's quite natural that I'm very happy.

We need to keep working and improving to become better than our competitors. That's the goal, but let's see what we can do in the next races."

Isaac Hajar (5th): "I understand why I was penalized, so no problems there. To be honest, I'm more concerned about where the pace went during the race. Yesterday the car was fast, both in the sprint and in qualifying, but I had issues during the race.

At the start, everything was great, I was in the leading group, and then suddenly the track became slippery for me. There was just no grip from the tires on the asphalt, and the car was behaving unpredictably. I had to fight with the car just to keep it on the track, and that was very exhausting.

I did everything I could. I won't rest until I find out what happened today."
