Fernando Alonso: "There is always progress. With every outing on the track, something new appears in the car, the power unit, or the settings. It's hard to accurately assess how this affects lap time, but in Canada we were definitely faster than in Miami, simply because we are gradually figuring out the details.

We plan to test many more small improvements in Monaco; I hope we will take another step forward there. But we will only be able to solve fundamental problems in the second half of the year. A more powerful engine and a new aerodynamic package should allow us to make up some of the three-second deficit."
