Leclerc and Hamilton defend Ferrari Luce

The first electric car in Ferrari's history – Luce – has sparked a wave of criticism, including from some very authoritative figures. Former Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo stated that the logo with the "Prancing Horse" should be removed from Luce, while Flavio Briatore said that Luce is only good because it won't be copied by the Chinese.

Ferrari responded to the criticism by releasing a promotional video featuring the opinions of Formula 1 team drivers – Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who have already tested Luce.

Charles Leclerc: "The design of Luce is very different from anything we've seen before from Ferrari – the car looks very futuristic. We know that the pursuit of the future and innovation is very characteristic of Ferrari.

I like that there are many physical controls here so you can drive the car, look at the road, and feel how it responds."

Lewis Hamilton: "As soon as you get behind the wheel, you immediately feel the power of this car; it has excellent dynamics. I thought there were four engines here, but there are twelve – three on each wheel. One generates torque, another controls the suspension, and the third transmits steering movements. It's incredible.

The center of gravity is very low. Most cars lean heavily in turns, but Luce is very stable. This is a true Ferrari."
