Hamilton tested the Quick lowriders.

Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton was introduced to the new car culture of lowriders. These are specially modified cars with a large number of chrome details and adjustable suspension height, designed for leisurely driving with sparks from magnesium elements underneath. Lewis got behind the wheel of a 1984 Buick Regal. Meeting with the owner of the modified car, Hamilton admitted that he had never seen a lowrider in person, having only followed this phenomenon online and on television. The owner showed him the two-tone paint job of the Buick and the signature hydraulic suspension.

When asked what the community focuses on more— aesthetics or competition, the owner explained: "It's a combination of both. It's one whole. The best car, the best paint job. It's part of a lifestyle." Lewis Hamilton: "I've always been interested in learning something new about different car cultures around the world, and this topic has long been on my list. Riding in a lowrider, spending time with people who honor this culture and strive to preserve it – it's an amazing experience."
