Alpine will contest Gasly's penalties and the race results in Monaco.

The Alpine team has exercised its right to appeal and submitted a request to the FIA to review two penalties imposed on Pierre Gasly for speeding in the pit lane during the Monaco race. Pierre Gasly finished third but dropped to seventh place in the race standings after two five-second penalties were added to his result. It is quite possible that Alpine believes the FIA sensors measuring speed in the pit lane were malfunctioning, as Gasly, Hamilton, Piastri, Russell, and Colapinto all recorded the same speed violation of 0.1 km/h. However, in Pierre's case, the sensor recorded that he exceeded the speed limit by 0.4 km/h for the second time. "Following the results of today's Monaco Grand Prix, the Alpine team confirms that it has sent a request to the FIA to review the penalties imposed for speeding in the pit lane," the team from Enstone stated in a brief announcement.
