Audi announced that reserve driver Alpine Paul Aron will participate in two practice sessions with the Hinwil team. The Estonian driver will take the wheel of the Audi R26 in the first free practice session of the Barcelona-Catalonia Grand Prix and the Austrian Grand Prix. This upcoming weekend, Aron will replace Nico Hülkenberg, and in Spielberg – Gabriel Bortoleto. After completing two practice sessions with Audi, Paul will continue his collaboration with Alpine. In 2025, Aron participated in the first five practice sessions – in the UK and Hungary with Sauber, and in Italy, Mexico, and Abu Dhabi with Alpine.
