Pirelli tests have begun in Barcelona with the participation of three teams.
On Tuesday, two-day tests of Pirelli tire prototypes for the 2027 season began in Barcelona. Three teams are participating in the tests – Ferrari, Cadillac, and Aston Martin. In Ferrari, Charles Leclerc is scheduled to drive both days, while reserve drivers took the wheel in the other two teams. Guan Yu Zhou is driving for Cadillac, and Jack Crawford is driving for Aston Martin. Ferrari will stay in Barcelona for one more day after the tire tests. On Thursday, the Scuderia will work with last year's SF-25 car as part of the TPC program. Currently, the most promising participant of the Ferrari Racing Academy, Rafael Camara, will take the wheel. For the Brazilian, this will be his second experience driving a Formula 1 car after the May tests at the Hungarian track Hungaroring. There are already rumors in the paddock that Ferrari believes Rafael could move to Formula 1 as early as next year, so they are starting to prepare him for his debut.
