Verstappen excludes participating in additional Nordschleife races in 2026.
"Regrettably, it conflicts with the GT World Challenge."
Max Verstappen has stated that he is not likely to participate again at the Nurburgring Nordschleife this year. The four-time Formula 1 world champion has become more dedicated to his GT racing goals, broadening his Verstappen.com Racing initiative and personally taking part in several races at the renowned German track in 2026. After winning an NLS race that was subsequently disqualified due to a tire regulation breach, Verstappen appeared to be on track for significant success in the recent Nurburgring 24 Hours until a technical issue dashed the team's chances. Many fans were hoping to see the Dutch driver return for another NLS event later this year. However, during remarks made in Barcelona, Verstappen suggested that this will not be the case. "Regrettably, it conflicts with the GT World Challenge, so that won’t be possible," he mentioned. This scheduling issue effectively concludes Verstappen’s Nordschleife program for 2026, as there are no other viable options left considering his Formula 1 obligations.
