Aston Martin doubts that the updates will help.

Aston Martin has repeatedly stated that the team's results will not change until the race in Spa, where a large package of updates is planned to be brought. Former team principal Otmar Szafnauer mentioned in the High Performance Racing podcast that he heard about the new developments from former colleagues – Aston Martin employees are not expecting anything good.

Otmar Szafnauer: "The team mentioned at the beginning of the season that they do not intend to bring small updates from race to race. We have already discussed the updates from Ferrari and Mercedes here. Mercedes brought their updates to Canada and plans to introduce new improvements soon.

Aston Martin has long said that they will not act in this way. They probably decided to save funds within the budget constraints for one large package of updates, a sort of B-version of their car.

Let's see what they have for the race in Spa. But judging by what I hear from within the team from former colleagues, they will have a tough time."
