Formula E: Andretti drivers took the entire front row.

      This weekend, the Formula E race, the 10th round of the season, is being held at the Chinese track Sanya – the electric series has returned here for the first time since 2019. This was the only time that the e-Prix took place on the 2.5-kilometer city circuit on Hainan Island, but now the race at this track marks the beginning of a whole Chinese series of three rounds.

      Qualifying has already taken place, and as a result, the entire front row will be occupied by drivers from the Andretti team: pole position was secured by Jake Dennis, who won the Formula E title two years ago, while his teammate, Felipe Drugovich, showed the second-best time, finishing more than a second behind the Brit. In any case, this is the best qualifying achievement for the Brazilian driver, who is having his first full season in Formula E.

      Starting from the second row will be Mitch Evans (Jaguar), who is leading the individual standings, and Dan Ticktum (Cupra Kyro); the fifth-best result was shown by Nyck de Vries (Mahindra), the recent winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and next to his electric car in the third row will be the Citroen of Nick Cassidy.

      The best among the factory Porsche drivers, who are usually among the favorites, was Pascal Wehrlein, but today he could only manage to qualify in 7th position. The reigning world champion Oliver Rowland only showed the 10th-best time – this season, the factory Nissan team has not been performing well in qualifying. However, this did not prevent Oliver from winning the race in Monaco, and he is now in second place in the individual standings.

      But since overtaking is quite possible on this track, such a starting grid promises an interesting battle for positions, as those who were unlucky in qualifying will try to move forward.

      Four drivers lost their starting positions due to penalties received in the previous round in Monaco, resulting in Lucas di Grassi (Lola Yamaha) starting last, Taylor Barnard (DS Penske) in 15th, his teammate Max Günther in 19th, and Pepe Marti, Ticktum's teammate, in 18th.
