Formula E: Drugovich fined and removed from the podium

Headlines about the first-ever victory double for the Andretti team in Formula E, which appeared shortly after the race finished on the Chinese track in Sanya, quickly became outdated within a few hours. Felipe Drugovich, the driver for the American team, was penalized, with five seconds added to his time, causing the Brazilian to drop to fifth place. The stewards issued him a penalty for a collision with Porsche driver Pascal Wehrlein, as they deemed Drugovich responsible for the incident at Turn 9, which could have been avoided. Wehrlein ultimately finished in a distant 14th position. Due to the penalty, Drugovich dropped three places in the final race standings from second to fifth, while Pepe Marti, the Spanish driver for Cupra Kiro, rose to the second step of the podium, marking his best career result, and third place went to Nyck de Vries, who competes in Formula E for the Indian team Mahindra.
