Mercedes will build an interactive area at Goodwood.
The Mercedes team will build an interactive entertainment zone for fans, styled like real Formula 1 garages and pit lanes, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will take place from July 9 to 12.
In the Mercedes entertainment zone, fans will be able to see simulators, an exhibition of unusual racing artifacts, a merchandise store with a collection of memorabilia and limited-edition items created specifically for the festival.
A separate element of the entertainment will be an interactive pit stop – under the guidance of the team mechanics, everyone will have the opportunity to try to change tires on the W09 car in less than two seconds.
Visitors will also be able to participate in contests with the chance to win a trip to the team's base in Brackley and other prizes.
As for the racing aspect, Mercedes' third driver, Frederik Vesti, will participate in the hill climb each of the three days of the Festival, driving the W13 car from 2022, painted in the current colors of the team for the 2026 season.
Frederik Vesti: "I am very excited to return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This will be my third visit. I can't wait to get behind the wheel again to drive up the hill and experience everything Goodwood has to offer. It is truly a special event, and the hill climb is unlike anything else.
The season is shaping up very interestingly for the team, and I am curious to see the reaction to our new interactive fan zone. It is a great space for fans to come together.
I am looking forward to the weekend to spend time at Goodwood, meet our amazing fans, and try my hand at the interactive pit stop, which will allow the team's supporters to feel even closer to the world of Mercedes."
