The sound you just heard was your financial advisor cringing as you weigh the decision to purchase the reintroduced Ram TRX.

On Monday, orders for the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX opened, and this Hellcat-powered truck comes with a hefty price tag. Specifically, it will cost $102,790, which includes a significant $2,795 destination charge.

That's just for the standard model. If you want the limited-edition Bloodshot Night Edition package (as shown above), you’ll need to fork out an additional $9,995. This package includes a hand-painted Blacktop upper with a Flame Red hood stripe, exterior splash graphics (it's like stepping back into the '90s!), red interior accents, and beadlock-capable wheels.

Ram emphasized that the TRX, along with its turbocharged inline-six-powered RHO counterpart, are the only high-performance off-road trucks featuring a Level 2 Plus hands-free driver-assist system, referred to by Stellantis as Hands-Free Active Drive Assist. This is a dig at the Ford Raptor.

The revived TRX features the well-known supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine from the Hellcats, now delivering 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Ram stated that with standard full-time four-wheel drive and Launch Control, the truck can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 118 mph.

How long this reimagined Hellcat-powered TRX will remain on the market is uncertain. Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis told The Drive to “Call Washington” when asked about it.
