Perm: The weekend turned out almost perfectly.

The Racing Bulls team is pleased with the results of the Austrian weekend, as both of its drivers finished in the top ten.

Alan Permain, team principal: "The Austrian weekend went almost perfectly for us. In the two previous races, our car was capable of good speed in qualifying, but we couldn't achieve the necessary pace in the race. Therefore, the whole team, working on the track and at the bases in Faenza and Milton Keynes, worked hard to turn the situation around.

We brought a number of technical innovations to Austria and already on Friday saw signs indicating a quite decent pace over long stints – although you never know if this will hold true by race day.

However, today we were fast, so Liam and Arvid deserve all the praise for confidently finishing in 9th and 10th places. And now we are in a good mood as we start preparing for the Silverstone round, which will take place next week."

Liam Lawson (9th): "It was really hot today, but overall we had a decent race. The tire degradation was about what we expected, which meant we could stick to our plan.

In the first stint, I had to manage the brake temperatures, which were overheating quite a bit, but after a few laps everything normalized. Also, there was some misunderstanding between Arvid and me, so I was surprised when we got into a battle before Turn 4. However, after the second pit stop, I was able to regain my position.

This weekend we made significant progress with the car, and we maintained a confident pace throughout the race. The team scored points with both cars, and that's a great result for us, but we need to try to maintain this level.

The Silverstone weekend includes a Saturday sprint, which once again opens up great opportunities, and I’m already looking forward to returning to this track."

Arvid Lindblad (10th): "The day went well – the team scored points with both cars, and that's good. But for me, the race wasn't easy, as I started having problems with braking and at relatively low speeds when I switched to hard tires.

There were several moments where I could have performed better, so we have things to work on, and together with the team, we will definitely analyze everything. But now I’m starting to prepare for the race weekend in Silverstone, and since this will be my first home race in Formula 1, I know it will be especially important.

Recently, the team has been doing a great job, upgrading the car and increasing its speed, so I hope we can maintain our current excellent form – that would be just great!"
