Carlos Sainz: There will be a lot of overtakes.

Williams driver Carlos Sainz believes that the race in Silverstone this year could be even too spectacular due to the abundance of overtakes caused by the energy deficit on a lap, where it is easier to expend energy than to conserve it because of the track configuration.

Carlos Sainz: "In my opinion, we are in for one of the spectacular races, but for the wrong reasons – there will be a lot of overtakes because we are really lacking energy here.

We will have to play by the scheme: 'I will expend energy here, but then you will overtake me again.' I think this weekend we will see 'yo-yo' racing again, but that is the reality.

Changes for next year have already been made, but the spectators here are just amazing."

His teammate Alex Albon agreed: "Perhaps these will not be entirely fair overtakes, but there will be many of them."
