Max Verstappen regularly communicates with Horner.

      At the last stage in Silverstone, Christian Horner made his first appearance in the Formula 1 paddock after being dismissed from Red Bull Racing. When journalists asked Max Verstappen what he thought about Horner's return, the four-time world champion said that he never actually cut off contact with his former boss.

      Max Verstappen: "I talk to Christian almost every week. I saw on the cameras that he was walking in the paddock, but to be honest, I haven't had time to meet with anyone. I have a lot to do this weekend.

      What do we talk about? The same things you talk about with your friends or people you've known for a long time."

      When Max was asked if the race result in Silverstone would affect his future, he was brief: "I'm not going to talk about that right now. It would be unfair to discuss this topic now."
