Scott Dixon – McLaren IndyCar driver

The McLaren team announced its lineup for the 2027 season and reported the signing of six-time IndyCar champion Scott Dixon. At the end of the 2026 season, Dixon will leave Chip Ganassi – he has been with this team since 2003, winning six championship titles, achieving 58 victories, and winning the Indy 500 in 2008. Additionally, McLaren confirmed the contract with the reigning Indy 500 champion Felix Rosenqvist. These two will join Pato O'Ward, while 2014 Indy 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay, who has become the new sporting director, will participate in the Indy 500 on a one-off basis. The announcement of the contracts with Dixon and Rosenqvist means that Nolan Siegel and Christian Lundgaard will leave the team. Scott Dixon: "Moving to Arrow McLaren is the next step in my career. This is an important decision for myself and my family, and I look forward to contributing to what the team, Zak, and Tony are building for the future. For me, as a New Zealander, being part of Bruce McLaren's legacy is a special experience; his spirit and determination still embody the essence of this team, and I am excited to continue that legacy." Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing: "Our IndyCar team is showing fantastic progress, and this lineup – Pato, Scott, Felix, and Ryan – will strengthen all aspects of our program. We are firmly focused on the championship and winning the Indy 500 to achieve the 'Triple Crown.' These four drivers bring a wealth of experience, great synergy, and will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our entire team."
