The hypercar RB17 will debut on the track at Goodwood.
The Red Bull RB17 hypercar, developed by Red Bull Advanced Technologies, will debut on the track at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will take place from July 9 to 12. The car will ascend the famous hill as part of the testing and development program.
In the demonstration runs, the wheel of the RB17 will be taken by Isaac Hajar, Yuki Tsunoda, Red Bull Racing Academy participant Alicia Palowski, as well as former Technical Director of Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Chief Designer of the RB17 Adrian Newey. The runs at Goodwood will be the first public demonstration of the RB17 in motion.
The RB17 is one of the most ambitious engineering projects of Red Bull Advanced Technologies. The development of the car took over five years, and the engineers' task was to transfer Formula 1 technologies into the latest hypercar.
Unlike racing cars, the RB17 is not constrained by technical regulations. It is based on extreme aerodynamics, an advanced chassis, and a hybrid power unit with a naturally aspirated Cosworth V10 engine. Red Bull claims that the car is designed to achieve performance levels close to Formula 1.
In addition to the RB17 debut, Red Bull Racing will showcase an exhibition of cars in the team's historic livery at the Festival of Speed. The exhibition will feature cars from the debut RB1 to the camouflage test livery RB11, a special version of the RB14, the RB21 livery for the Japanese stage, and the RB19 in the colors of 2026.
The RB9, one of the most successful cars in Red Bull Racing's history, will also participate in the hill climb. In 2013, with this car, the team achieved 13 victories in 19 races, and Sebastian Vettel won his fourth consecutive World Championship title.
Laurent Mekies, Team Principal: "Goodwood is the perfect place to showcase what Red Bull's developments are all about. Here, our heritage, drive for innovation, and the talent of the people behind our projects come together. Demonstrating the RB17 in motion in front of fans is a special moment."
