Carlos Sainz: I managed to get the most out of the car.
The best result for Williams in the qualifying session of the Belgian Grand Prix was the fifteenth time set by Carlos Sainz. His teammate Alex Albon finished the first session, missing out on advancing to the second part by just 0.007 seconds to Oliver Berman, who made it through.
Carlos Sainz (15th): "The weekend has been tough. We had the same problem in all the practice sessions, so it's great that we managed to solve it before qualifying and get the car working as it should. Making it to the second session can be considered a positive result – I was able to drive good laps and extract the maximum from the car. Tomorrow we need to try to run a clean race and avoid any trouble. We need chaos in the race to have a chance for points, so we will try to make the most of any opportunities."
Alex Albon (17th): "It's disappointing not to make it to the second part of qualifying, even though the car has been in good shape all weekend. After the third practice, we adjusted the settings, but the new setup turned out to be too radical – it's a shame we couldn't improve at the crucial moment. We'll see what we can do tomorrow, considering that some competitors received penalties, which will change their starting positions."
