Colton Herta: A valuable practice for me and the team

      On Friday in Hungary, Colton Herta participated in the first practice for the second time this season, replacing Valtteri Bottas. The American driver mentioned that with each outing on the track, he is better understanding the characteristics of the Cadillac car and looks forward to repeating this experience.

      Sergio Perez completed both practices and gathered information for analysis.

      Valtteri Bottas (18th): "It's nice to be back in Budapest, as it's interesting to drive on this track. I started the second practice with a less than ideal car balance, but during the session, I managed to make progress and stabilize the car. By the end of the practice, I was quite satisfied with both the speed on short runs and the car's behavior with a full tank – it was quite stable. We have a good foundation to continue working on Saturday. It seems we will once again be fighting in a very tight group of teams in the midfield. I'm confident we can show a good result tomorrow."

      Sergio Perez (20th): "Overall, the day was interesting. Throughout the sessions, the track conditions changed constantly, especially in the second practice when the wind picked up. This allowed us to try different car setup options. I think we now have a good understanding of how to adjust the balance for tomorrow. We just need to put all the pieces together and perform well in qualifying."

      Colton Herta (20th in the first session): "It was great to get back behind the wheel of this car and work with the team again. We fully completed the planned program, and the practice was beneficial for both me and the team. Compared to my previous practice in Barcelona, I have a much better understanding of the car's characteristics. Every time I get behind the wheel, I feel more confident, and that’s encouraging. I look forward to the next opportunity to participate in the free practice sessions."
