      Several Formula 1 drivers reportedly did not attend a crucial FIA meeting in Hungary that was set to address driving standards and contentious stewarding decisions from Spa. Reports indicate that Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Sergio Perez, Valtteri Bottas, and Lance Stroll were among those who were not present.

      The meeting had been arranged prior to the Belgian Grand Prix, but its importance increased after Hamilton's first-lap collision with George Russell and Charles Leclerc’s subsequent contact with Oscar Piastri. Hamilton received a five-second penalty for the incident with Russell, who characterized it as a racing incident.

      "I always aim to steer clear of these situations," Hamilton stated. "I don’t have any additional information. It’s not something I focus on, but I’m sure they’ll review it. The FIA is striving to do the best job possible and maintain consistency."

      "Consistency isn't always achieved, but I don’t dwell on what occurred last week. That's in the past, and we need to look forward." McLaren also expressed dissatisfaction that Leclerc faced no punishment following his contact with Piastri.
