Verstappen: The car at the Hungaroring is working very poorly.

      Max Verstappen was very unhappy with his sixth place finish in the qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Red Bull Racing even limited the four-time world champion's communication with the press to prevent him from saying too much, but Max's comments for television were enough to understand his frustration.

      His teammate Isaac Hajar showed the eighth fastest time and was also not thrilled with the RB22 car.

      Max Verstappen (6th): "Honestly, the whole weekend has been unfortunate. The car is working very poorly at the Hungaroring. For some reason, we are losing downforce again, and the car constantly starts to slide on corner entry. The rear end gives no confidence at all; you can't rely on it.

      If you try to compensate for this by shifting the balance towards the front axle, you immediately get understeer. Starting from the third practice, additional problems arose, which only complicated the situation.

      First of all, we need to sort out these issues. Unexplained malfunctions occur too often, and we need to address them first. Only after that can we expect a normal fight in qualifying."

      Isaac Hajar (8th): "I can't say that the car was worse today than usual. We have had difficulties with the car before, but we still fought closer to the leaders. This weekend, it seems we have only the fourth fastest car again.

      It was not easy to drive. We keep changing the settings, but it seems that it hardly affects the behavior of the RB22 anymore. It looks like we have simply reached the limits of the current configuration's capabilities.

      As for the race, I don't know what the strategy will be yet. Most likely, we will do the opposite of those starting ahead. I have nothing to lose since I'm starting eighth, and if nothing changes, I will likely finish eighth as well. So I need to take a risk and try something different."
