Bearman willing to depart from Ferrari for a chance at the title.

      Oliver Bearman has indicated that he might consider leaving Ferrari’s driver program if another team can provide him with a quicker path to achieving race victories and world championships. Haas is reportedly eager to keep the 21-year-old, who has shown promise despite the team's challenging season, amidst rumors that Esteban Ocon could be displaced by F2 champion Leonardo Fornaroli or Ferrari junior Rafael Camara. Nonetheless, Bearman has also been associated with Aston Martin, given that Fernando Alonso hasn't yet confirmed how long he will remain in Formula 1.

      Flavio Briatore, who is still involved in Alonso's management, stated that no decision has been made beyond the current season. "Fernando is racing for Aston Martin," he mentioned in Hungary. "It appears that Aston Martin has made a significant improvement compared to before, and he is quite content there."

      "There’s nothing to discuss regarding that yet. He is an Aston Martin driver and will continue to be one at the end of the season." Bearman acknowledged that Lewis Hamilton’s resurgence in 2026 has complicated his path to Ferrari. "Of course, my future isn’t helped by that," he told Formula 1’s Beyond The Grid podcast. "But I’m still young. I’m only 21. I’m not in a great hurry."

      "For me, remaining at Haas for the foreseeable future isn’t a bad option." However, the Briton stressed that Haas needs to provide him with a more competitive car. "I really want to return to those highs that we experienced in Mexico and other races," Bearman stated. "I don’t want to be labeled as the team that had an outstanding first year with me but then struggled to replicate that performance. Hopefully, we can gain more performance and score some solid points again."

      Bearman asserted that becoming a Ferrari driver is still his ultimate aspiration, but he is not willing to wait indefinitely. "Ferrari is the dream team. My goal is still to become a Ferrari driver someday," he expressed. "But I don’t want to spend three, four, or five years waiting for a seat to open up, as there are no guarantees. You might waste your best years."

      "My main goal might be a little selfish, but that’s acceptable because that’s why I’m here. I want to be competing for world championships." "If I have that opportunity anywhere, I will seize it. If that means not being with Ferrari because they cannot provide me with that chance, then that’s just how it is."

      When specifically asked about Aston Martin, Bearman replied: "I’m confident that they will become exceptionally strong one day." "But I can’t say I’m focused on them at this moment."
