Red Bull explained the reasons for the unsuccessful start of the season.

Red Bull Racing's Technical Director Pierre Waché outlined the reasons why the team had a poor start to the 2026 season. According to him, rivals were better prepared for the transition to the new technical regulations, while the team from Milton Keynes fought for the title until the last race of the previous season, which affected the development of the new car. Pierre Waché: "There are positive aspects in the first half of the season. The main one is that we managed to make progress after starting the year behind our competitors. The team did a great job to reach the current level. Of course, we are still not in the positions we want to be in, but we are trying to do everything possible to understand what is not working and what can be improved. Most importantly, the team has been able to achieve noticeable progress. Last year we fought for the title until the very end of the season. The same was true for McLaren. I think that is why both teams are currently lagging a bit behind those who switched to preparing for the new regulations earlier."
