Pierre Gasly on how the summer break in Formula 1 is going.
The Alpine team has gone on a mandatory two-week August break. Pierre Gasly explained what is prohibited and what is allowed during this period.
Pierre Gasly: "The summer break is starting, which I and the whole team have been looking forward to. There are several mandatory rules in place for this period.
All Formula 1 teams take a two-week break, during which the bases are effectively closed. This means that employees cannot conduct simulations, work with CFD, engage in design or development. Moreover, they are even prohibited from checking their work emails.
Of course, there are exceptions. Marketing, communications, legal matters, technical maintenance, and some other areas can still be worked on.
For us drivers, it is primarily an opportunity to rest, recharge, and then return fully prepared for the second half of the season.
At the same time, the FIA closely monitors compliance with these rules, so every team is under strict scrutiny."
