      Guenther Steiner: “I am ready to return to Formula 1 if I find a project that I like.

      The job itself does not particularly interest me. For the last 10, 15, or even 20 years, it has always been about projects. I haven’t done this for the sake of work. Just doing a job is not that interesting; there’s no thrill in it. It has to be something that will be a new challenge for me.

      A project is when you are involved in the process, when you determine what to do, rather than just going to work. I couldn’t care less about the position. I love doing what I enjoy. It’s like when I went to television after Haas F1. I didn’t know how it worked, but I got an offer and decided to give it a try. I wanted to be as cool a host as David Coulthard. However, I haven’t managed that yet.

      When I was creating the Formula 1 team, people told me: ‘You will never succeed. No one can create a new team.’ But I did. Creating a Formula 1 team was easier than becoming someone like David on television.”
