Rowland: It's good for Arvid that Liam is performing so well.

Oliver Rowland is not only still the reigning Formula E champion, driving for the factory team Nissan, but also the manager of Arvid Lindblad, who made his debut in Formula 1 this year. He has spoken highly of the help and support that his young protégé is receiving from Liam Lawson, the more experienced driver from Racing Bulls.

Lindblad's first season is going quite successfully; the young Brit, who has just turned 19, regularly earns points – he has managed to do so in eight out of the 11 already completed stages of the World Championship.

“Arvid has really started the season well; we are very pleased,” Rowland told RacingNews365. “First of all, I believe that the Racing Bulls team is doing a great job with the modernization of their technology, and there are so many valuable technical innovations appearing on their cars. Sometimes you implement something hoping it will have a certain effect, but in Formula 1, it is very difficult to turn ideas into real results.

Overall, Racing Bulls deserve all the praise – it seems they consistently confirm that after the four top teams, they are the best.

Moreover, it is very good for us that Liam is performing so strongly; he has had a couple of very good races, but Arvid has been able to work on himself and make a comeback. I want the dynamics within the team to be such that teammates push each other every weekend and help elevate each other to a new level.

We regularly discuss what has allowed Liam to improve, and this is particularly beneficial for Arvid. I think his most successful weekend so far was the stage in Spa, and the future of this team looks very bright.”
