Official: Verstappen has signed with Red Bull through the end of 2030.
"It is wonderful news for everyone at Red Bull."
Red Bull Racing is extremely proud to announce that Max Verstappen will remain with the Team until the conclusion of the 2030 Formula One season, extending one of the most successful and notable partnerships in F1 history. The four-time World Champion will continue to be central to Oracle Red Bull Racing as the Team begins the next phase of its journey.
Since joining the Red Bull Junior Programme in 2014 and debuting with the Team in 2016 by winning his very first Grand Prix, Max has evolved into much more than just a driver. He has become an integral part of Oracle Red Bull Racing’s history, identity, and success.
Together, Max and the Team have achieved four Drivers’ World Championships, two Constructors’ World Championships, and 71 Grand Prix victories, creating some of the most unforgettable moments in contemporary F1.
As they gear up for seasons 12 to 15 together, this commitment signifies more than just the continuation of an already remarkable partnership. It represents a strong statement of mutual trust and ambition—a joint decision to shape the future collaboratively.
Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing, commented:
“Having Max stay with us and retaining the best driver on the grid is excellent news for everyone at Red Bull, Oracle Red Bull Racing, and for F1 and motorsport overall.
Very few partnerships in sports achieve what Max and this Team have accomplished. Since the very start, Max has personified everything that makes Oracle Red Bull Racing exceptional: an unwavering competitive spirit, relentless determination, and the bravery to defy norms. His influence on our Team and on Red Bull’s motorsport narrative has been transformative, and he has been crucial to everything we've attained together.
The choice to continue our partnership is founded on the trust Max and the Team have developed over many years, along with Max’s confidence in our people, culture, and future vision. Cemented through championship victories, intense competitions, and challenging times, this relationship has only grown stronger, making it one of Formula One’s most successful stories.
However, we’re not finished yet. There are more races to win, more milestones to celebrate, and more history to create. Together, we continue to elevate our standards with the same determination that brought us to the pinnacle of the sport, alongside an even greater belief in what we can achieve. Many aspects will evolve as we progress, but our ambition remains consistent—united by one direction, one vision, one Team.”
Max Verstappen stated:
“I am very happy with the contract extension. We have the best people, and I’m eager to keep collaborating with everyone to return to the top again. This remains the ultimate goal that we have all been striving for and will continue to pursue. I want to express my gratitude to Red Bull, Laurent, and everyone at Oracle Red Bull Racing for their trust in me.
I’ve always maintained that the Team is like a second family to me, and I feel very at home here. I joined the Team hoping to win races. What we have achieved together has been truly wonderful; we have shared many incredible moments and celebrated four World Championships. Continuing this journey with the same Team I have been with my entire career is very special and something I have always desired.
Working with Laurent for over a year has been fantastic; I see his clear vision for the Team. Everyone in Milton Keynes believes in what we are building, and I’m looking forward to the next chapter, striving for more victories and competing for championships as we continue to shape the future of this Team.
Making this announcement during the last Grand Prix at Zandvoort is a significant moment for me as well. Hopefully, we can provide the fans with a memorable farewell for the final race.”
Max’s ongoing commitment comes at a crucial time in the evolution of Oracle Red Bull Racing. With Red Bull Ford Powertrains successfully entering its first season as an F1 power unit manufacturer, ongoing investments in the Team’s technical infrastructure and facilities, and a long-term focus on its values, the groundwork for the Team’s next era is being firmly laid—with Max Verstappen at its core.
