Ayrton Senna, a three-time Formula 1 world champion, had a wide range of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed everything from RC airplanes and boats to actual planes and vessels. However, whenever he sought relaxation, he often retreated to one of his beach houses, where he had access to various watercraft. Whether in Brazil or Portugal, Senna had a passion for personal watercraft like jet skis and waverunners, and there’s plenty of footage showcasing his skill in handling them. Now, BRP is honoring Senna by introducing a new, limited-edition watercraft: the Sea-Doo RXP X Senna 350.
This two-seater features the iconic colors of the Brazilian flag, which have also become closely associated with Senna’s helmet design. The watercraft is vibrant and stylish, and although I’m not an expert in watercraft, this model certainly resembles the supercar of Sea-Doos. It also displays the famous Senna double-S logo on the front and sides, along with two phrases frequently seen on Senna merchandise: Seek Your Truth and Born to Win.
There is a plaque in the gauge cluster indicating the machine’s serial number from the 1991 units planned for production, a figure that pays tribute to Senna’s last F1 championship.
The RXP X Senna 350 is equipped with a new Rotax 1630 ACE engine delivering 350 horsepower, and I can't imagine the sensation of that much power in a machine weighing under 800 pounds. While BRP doesn’t provide 0-60 mph times, RideApart tested a similar model with 25 hp less than the Senna, achieving the sprint in just 3.4 seconds. Therefore, this model could potentially be closer to the 3-second benchmark.
Prospective buyers can pre-order a Sea-Doo RXP X Senna 350 through the website, though the materials do not specify an estimated delivery date. Pricing details were also not disclosed, but the standard model without the Senna branding starts at approximately $25,000.
