McLaren is counting on a double podium.

      Andrea Stella is pleased with the results of the qualifying in Zandvoort, as Lando Norris's second consecutive pole position indicates a positive trend – McLaren's performance is gradually improving. In any case, the MCL40 car is confidently handling tracks that require high downforce levels.

      Andrea Stella: "I believe the qualifying went very well, as its results can be seen as confirmation of a certain trend, since we also secured pole in Hungary. We see that our car performs well on tracks that require high downforce when it has a fresh set of soft tires, and the tires provide good grip.

      However, at the same time, we must acknowledge: as today's sprint showed, we need to work on improving the car's behavior on used tires and reducing degradation if we want to aim for a strong result in tomorrow's race.

      Speaking of Oscar Piastri, he is also driving very well this weekend – he was only 0.1 seconds or one and a half tenths behind Lando, but only in a couple of corners. He is working very focused and is clearly more satisfied with the car compared to Hungary.

      Undoubtedly, we intend to prepare for tomorrow's race with an eye on a double podium. I think Oscar is doing fine with the pace, although if you had asked me after the sprint who was the fastest, I would have said Russell and Leclerc, who lost to George by just a little.

      To be honest, I think Formula 1 is becoming more and more interesting, and the races are unfolding in an exciting scenario, as the competition is becoming increasingly fierce. As we have seen, unexpected overtakes are quite possible, and I believe tomorrow will not be without them."
