Liam Lawson: I am glad for the opportunity to race for Red Bull.

      In Zandvoort, Liam Lawson returned to the Red Bull Racing team, from which he was dismissed after just two races in 2025, replacing the injured Isaac Hajar. The New Zealander does not believe that participating in one race for the Milton Keynes team poses risks for his further career.

      Liam Lawson: "Of course, I have already spoken with Max Verstappen, but we have communicated a lot before. Tomorrow I will closely watch everything he does. I also have data from his work on the simulator, and I will be able to use it as a benchmark.

      I don't know if this situation can be considered risky for me. In any case, it is unusual.

      The season is going very well for me, and I enjoy racing for Racing Bulls. But at the same time, I am happy to have the opportunity to spend this weekend driving another car and working with the team again, even if it is just for one race."

      Liam shared that he received the news about the replacement on Monday: "On Monday, I literally just landed and hadn't even had time to get off the plane.

      I returned to the UK after a vacation and thought I was in for a regular preparation for the race with Racing Bulls. Alan [Permane, head of Racing Bulls] called me and told me what was happening, so my plans for the week changed very quickly."
